Jonathan Marroquin founded JMarr BBQ out of a passion for fire and exceptional food. Growing up, family gatherings around the grill fostered his love for grilled meats, particularly fajitas. A pivotal moment occurred on his 17th birthday during a trip to Austin, Texas, where he experienced the renowned Franklin's BBQ. This encounter ignited a deep interest in BBQ, leading him to explore various cooking techniques and seasonings through extensive research.
During his studies, Jonathan worked at Feges BBQ, owned by Pitmasters Patrick and Erin Feges, between school semesters. This opportunity allowed him to gain hands-on experience at a Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ joint, honing his skills and building confidence in the kitchen. He later invested in a top-of-the-line MillScale 500 Gallon Smoker, furthering his commitment to quality BBQ.
Today, JMarr BBQ not only caters but also offers a range of seasonings, empowering home cooks to create outstanding BBQ experiences.
